Jazzoo 2009 Kansas City Charity Fundraiser
| Jazzoo in The Kansas City Star June 15th, 2009 Once again in 2009, Jazzoo made the cover of The Kansas City Star Arts Section. In an article by the Kansas City Star's Ann Spivak, the Jazzoo curators go over the basics of the Kansas City charity fundraiser in detail including Jazzoo costs, Jazzoo restaurants, Jazzoo bars, Jazzoo sponsors, Jazzoo bands and other info. In 2009 Jazzoo had a slight downturn in attendance despite marked advertising on television, radio and this year even Twitter! They may have wasted valuable charity dollars on bringing in an almost forgotten headline band in "Starship" - basically with only one remaining original member in Paul Kantner. It seems that the younger corporate crowd which has the most potential to pack Jazzoo was abandoned this year by an attempt to appease the older crowd who's attendance is rapidly dropping off at Jazzoo. Although the entertainment has suffered in the past two years, the food and beverage areas are still what drive people to this great kc fundraiser. |
